MAN 6 Jakarta students once again made Indonesia proud in the international arena at the “World Invention Competition and Exhibition” (WICE) which took place in Malaysia, September 21-25, 2024. The research team from MAN 6 Jakarta consisting of Adinda Putri Euodia (XII7), Fikriyya Aulia (XII7), Rafifah Hamami Kumarsih (XII7), Sarah Ayu Unaisah (XII7) and Saskia Rahmah Aulia won the gold medal. Their innovative research entitled “Transmission Using Magnetic Resonance Coupling Method for Solar Electricity Distribution” received global recognition for its revolutionary concept in solar electricity distribution.
For information, the WICE competition is a prestigious event attended by young researchers from various countries. The event is organized by the International Innovation Institute, which aims to promote scientific research and new technologies among the younger generation. The success of MAN 6 Jakarta students shows the quality of education and research in madrasas that are on par with international educational institutions.
In this research, the team from MAN 6 Jakarta proposed the use of Magnetic Resonance Coupling method as a more efficient solar electricity distribution solution. This method is considered a promising technological breakthrough to improve the efficiency of wireless energy transmission. This innovation is relevant in the era of transition towards renewable energy and is expected to be one of the future solutions to expand electricity coverage in remote areas.
MAN 6 Jakarta Principal Retno Dewi Utami is very proud of the achievements of her students. “This is an extraordinary achievement, not only for the school, but also for the nation. They have proven that education in MAN can compete globally in the field of science and technology,” she said. This achievement, according to him, cannot be separated from the guidance of dedicated teachers and the high learning spirit of students.
This achievement also received appreciation from teachers and parents. Intensive guidance for several months by the supervising teacher at MAN 6 Jakarta, as well as full support from various parties, were important factors in the team's success. They hope that the results of this research can be further developed for wider applications, both domestically and internationally.
With this success, MAN 6 Jakarta further strengthens its position as an excellent madrasa that not only focuses on spiritual and character aspects, but also plays an active role in the development of science and technology.
“This achievement is expected to inspire other students to continue working and innovating in various fields,” hoped Retno Dewi.
